Drops of water trickle down a stream,
The reflection of my face appears,
far below the yonder sky.
Thinking there is no better time,
where no disturbance fills the air.
As the water makes its way,
it travels to the nearest lake.
Birds singing wonderous songs,
high above the place I stand.
Wondering where the flowing starts.
There only is so much water,
lucky as ever to be right here.
That was a great poem. We don't really have much clean water like you explained or where there isn't cars or buildings surrounding it. Nice poem.
ReplyDeletethis is a cool poem for a couple reasons. First the symbolism is clear (no pun intended). Second, you use the poem's image to invoke higher thoughts when you put the notion out there, "Wondering where the flow starts."
ReplyDeleteThat is really good. I felt as though I was there, hearing the birds sing. I also agree with you, that does seem like the perfect spot at a river.
ReplyDeleteIt was good but you changed subjects alot,
ReplyDeletewow this is really good. You have a very descriptive voice I especially liked the end. good job!
ReplyDeleteThis was a really romantic poem. One thing is you may want to change you blogs text to white so we can read it better.
ReplyDeleteThat was a nice poem. You had a lot of good description in it that really helped me visualize it. Nice job Matt!
ReplyDeleteI really really like that. It put this really pleasing picture into my mind. It was short but sweet. Nice poem
ReplyDeleteIt was a little hard to read. It had a really good point. We never think about things like this anymore. We always take things for granted, and I know I don't always go back. So thanks.
ReplyDeleteThis was a really good piece for our classmates to enjoy reading. When I read this, somehow I got a picture in my head of a little Native American boy playing by a river and it was kind of funny to me because I don't think that was the point to your poem. But oh well. Nice job
